Space Manager
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Facility Space Optimization Plan (FSOP) and related studies.
- Analyze and implement space utilization strategies to support current and future mission needs.
- Interpret space standards and integrate them with utilization rates (URs), facility conditions, and mission priorities.
- Support infrastructure investment planning via the AMP and BCAMP processes.
- Review and validate facility space authorizations; calculate gross square footage in line with AF guidelines.
- Conduct facility surveys and manage allocation accuracy through the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
- Evaluate underutilized facilities and develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to increase URs.
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, and stakeholders to align facility plans with mission goals and infrastructure priorities.
- Participate in Facilities Boards and Work Request Review Boards (WRRB) to align work requests with space optimization strategies.
- Analyze data using tools like BUILDER SMS, NexGen IT, GIS, and CADD to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of space management concepts, AF facility standards, and planning frameworks.
- Proficient in data analysis tools, survey technologies, GIS, and CAD software.
- Experience in AF IT systems (e.g., Geospatial Integration Management, NexGen IT).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in space planning or installation facility management is preferred.
