Congressional Support Analyst
ASR International is seeking a Congressional Support Analyst to join our team supporting the F‑35 Joint Program Office (JPO) under a federal contract. This role provides high-level legislative liaison and analytical support to ensure timely, accurate responses to Congressional inquiries, prepare executive-level briefing materials, and deliver rapid analysis of legislative impacts on the F‑35 program. You will work closely with senior leadership, attend hearings, and manage taskers in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, develop, and coordinate staffing papers and executive-level responses to Congressional inquiries.
- Provide quick-turn analysis of programmatic and financial impacts of Congressional bills.
- Attend Congressional hearings and briefings; prepare minutes and track action items to completion.
- Develop briefing decks, talking points, and data calls for senior leadership.
- Manage taskers via ETMS2; perform quality control on correspondence and ensure compliance with formatting and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Strategic Communications and Corporate Operations to maintain consistent messaging.
- Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and classified material per DoD security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS in Political Science, Public Policy, Government Affairs, or related field.
- Experience: Journeyman: Minimum 5 years in legislative affairs, policy analysis, or Congressional liaison roles. Senior: Minimum 10 years in similar roles, with at least 5 years working on or with Capitol Hill or in federal legislative affairs.
- Clearance: Active SECRET or ability to obtain.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and task management systems (ETMS2 preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Prior experience supporting DoD programs or defense acquisition.
- Familiarity with Congressional processes, appropriations cycles, and DoD reporting requirements.
