Technical Insertion Engineer
Responsibilities:
- The Technical Insertion Engineer (TIE) shall advise and assist government personnel with the optimization of government industrial and engineering processes.
- The TIE shall apply state-of-the-art industry knowledge in making improvements to government tools and processes at AMARG.
- Gain familiarity with the government Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and execute SBIR projects and enter projects into the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Technology Roadmap Tool.
- Be familiar with the AMARG production machine and government acquisitions processes to enable them to research unique tools needed to optimize tools and processes at AMARG.
- Research and identify technology insertion opportunities to optimize AMARG production.
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the engineering field.
- Ability to conduct the research and analysis necessary to identify faults and constraints in industrial and mechanical processes and identify technological insertion opportunities to improve these processes.
- Possess a “SECRET” security clearance and possess a minimum of journeyman level of experience.
- Knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, among others.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check.
