Schedule Analyst
Place of Performance: Kennedy Space Center (KSC), FL 32899 (Work will be performed full on-site at KSC – no remote/hybrid work is allowed)
Workdays/Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (core work hours are between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM)
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Assist SI leadership in development of strategic data products that will be used to communicate, coordinate, and deconflict the tactical and strategic activities of NASA’s partners, programs, services and KSC infrastructure improvement project.
- Provide schedules and schedule analysis as required by SI/Spaceport Chief Strategist (SCS). Utilize standard processes, data structures and reporting conventions to plan, manage, and report the assigned work for SI/SCS schedules.
- Develop, integrate, maintain, and provide detailed schedules in support of planning, risk analysis, and decision-making activities. This includes developing and maintaining the schedule interdependencies.
- Maintain and update integrated, summary-level critical path schedules for presentation at directorate and center reviews. Ensure margin is accurately displayed in the primary, secondary, and tertiary critical paths.
- Integrate and analyze critical path, and external interface linked schedules from multiple sources into a single master schedule.
- Perform and provide analysis of schedules based upon knowledge of government milestones, operational processing flows, and infrastructure developmental activities.
- Evaluate the validity of proposed schedules as well as performance to date; assess feasibility of success; identify gaps, inconsistencies, efficiencies, and risks. Evaluate critical milestones against existing schedules; identify critical path and schedule risks; and report findings of those analyses to the Government.
- Develop recurring schedules to support studies. This includes special schedule “what-if” scenarios to facilitate analysis of partner business cases, alternatives, and options.
- Maintain configuration control over schedules.
- As required, train personnel (both contractor and government personnel) in the use of the scheduling software suite.
- Hold a weekly interchange with the Spaceport Chief Strategist (SCS) to help with engagement and strategy of the Kennedy Space Center Integrated Master Schedule data product.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience using various scheduling software packages such as Milestone Professional, Visual Planning, and MS Project. Must demonstrate experience in schedule integration of complex operational and/or infrastructure development projects.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, however, a bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred.
- Must hold certification in Project Management Professional (PMP). Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification experience is desired.
- Must be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
- Must be fluent in American English, both written and spoken, grammar, spelling and technical report writing.
