Project Manager - Receipt Inspection
Location/Place of Performance: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, (Seavey Island), Maine.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Keep government points of contact apprised of schedule, technical, material and financial issues pertaining to the contract.
- Provide overall management, oversight and supervision (and/or lead workers) to effectively and safely manage the work of the contract.
- Responsible for ensuring the work of the contract is performed in accordance with the standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Responsible for the performance and conduct of supervisors assigned to this contract and shall ensure on-site supervision is performing the duties and responsibilities identified.
- Provide brief metrics or reports validating that the onsite supervisors are executing duties and performing IAW the Scope of Work.
- Ensure that projects’ and customer’s goals are met and adheres to budget.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance and clearing necessary background checks/assessments as required.
- Active high-level Security Clearance is required, and current Security Clearance is desired.
- Required Education: Bachelor in related field.
- Required Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant field of study or experience in a related area within DoD/Navy programs. Working knowledge of NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy, and Department of Defense.
- Desired Attributes include:
- Demonstrated experience managing and supervising a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience to institute program management execution plans.
- Experience to produce concise and properly edited products that clearly and logically convey complex information and ideas.
