ASR is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer for an exciting opportunity supporting the US Air Forces 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, AZ.  The Facilities Engineer will be part of ASR’s team providing support for aerospace storage and preservation, aircraft parts reclamation, aircraft regeneration, depot-level maintenance overflow, and aircraft disposal. ASR’s team of engineering professionals will provide detailed knowledge of process and facility engineering standards, concepts, and practices to assist the government with identifying, defining, validating, and implementing processes for technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • The Facilities Engineer (FE) shall provide engineering involvement and subject matter expertise in planning, design, implementation, execution, and maintenance activities IAW AFSCMAN 21-102, all local supplements, and regulatory guidance.
  • Provide technical advice and support to maintain the readiness of AMARG facilities to fulfill the group’s mission.
  • The FE shall assist with shop layouts, reliability management, repair assessments, and preventive maintenance analysis.
  • Activities shall include, but are not limited to, facility repairs, alterations, new construction, and new equipment installation.
  • Produce correct and accurate documentation as appropriate for each facilities task. This shall include the drafting of Statements of Work (SOW) and PWS for facilities projects.
  • Act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in definition of project/customer requirements that require engineering dispositions to include the following:
    • Providing technical definition of projects to include specifications, drawings, and tolerances, for projects/customer requirements.
    • Participating in project design reviews to evaluate for accuracy, timeliness, and incorporation of suitable project requirements.
    • Assist the government during design and construction as technical expert. Contractor shall document and report changes, concerns, project milestones on all assigned projects.
  • Execute facility project requirements in coordination with supported production group needs. The contractor shall track, and report maintenance and preliminary cost estimates, as required, for short and long-term projects that include, but are not limited to; identifying future innovative solutions to increase AMARG's agility and posturing for future growth.
  • Work taskings for facility related projects. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying problems, performance gaps, and all inputs and outputs for short and long-term project plans.
  • Recommend corrective actions, facility deficiencies related to risk assessment codes, fire safety deficiencies, and uniform building code requirements.
  • Troubleshoot processes and equipment, as needed, to minimally maintain current average levels of workflow across the Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) effort.
  • Assist and provide OJT for government employees for all taskings in support of facility engineering.

Qualifications:
  • Four-year bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the civil engineering field.
  • Ability to make assessments and recommendations on facilities and facility-related projects.
  • Ability to conduct the research and analysis necessary to produce detailed instruction
  • Possess a “SECRET” security clearance and possess a minimum of journeyman level of experience.
  • Knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, among others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check.
  • Government contracting experience. (Preferred).
