Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector
Responsibilities:
• Develop a project-specific Construction QA Plan for each project, including inspection, testing, reporting procedures, and plans for monitoring corrective actions taken by contractors.
• Review contract deliverables and submittals for conformance and perform daily inspections to verify all work complies with the contract; request correction of any deficiencies.
• Prepare and submit daily written QA reports recording all discussions with contractor QC staff as well as deficiencies — submitted within 48 hours.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings for each construction work item requiring such by the QA plan.
• Monitor QC inspection and testing activities performed by the contractor.
• Support work some nights and weekends as project schedule dictates.
• Maintain ≤ 2 missed deficiencies per quarter (AQL).
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of software including Microsoft Office and construction inspection/reporting platforms, among others.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
• Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, able to pass a background check, and able to obtain and maintain a PIV card and the required suitability determination (Tier 1 or Tier 4 as required by position designation).
• USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification. (Preferred)
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification. (Preferred)
• Government contracting experience, particularly with DHS, USSS, USACE, or NAVFAC. (Preferred)
