We are seeking dedicated professionals to support our contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for NTED Program Support Services.
Job Summary:
The DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester will ensure compliance with accessibility standards for training materials and online content, using approved methods and tools to evaluate and report on each component individually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accessibility testing using DHS-approved methods and tools suitable for various formats.
- Address and report on individual components in the testing process.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to review and remediate materials.
- Support 508 testing and evaluation tasks as part of curriculum reviews and online course audits.
- Provide detailed reports on compliance issues and recommendations for improvements.
- Trusted Tester Certification from DHS.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of instructional design experience.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and tools for different formats (e.g., digital documents, online courses).
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing training materials visually.
- Experience with ADDIE model or similar instructional design frameworks.
- Familiarity with FEMA or DHS training programs.
