QA Inspector
Responsibilities:
- Inspect machined parts and materials for naval nuclear submarine use
- Perform visual, dimensional, and material identification inspections
- Utilize precision instruments (surface plates, calipers, optical comparators, profilometers, hardness testers, XRF/LIBBS)
- Conduct functional tests (spring rate, flexure, plating thickness, surface finish)
- Document and enter inspection data into PDREP and shipyard systems
- Ensure compliance with NAVSEA, OSHA, and PNS safety/radiological requirements
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in precision measurement, inspection, and technical documentation
- 2+ years inspecting materials per NAVSEA material control standards
- Level 1 (L1) certification experience (fasteners, manifolds, welding commodities, mill products)
- Proficiency with MIL‑STD‑792 marking methods
- OSHA‑certified; experience with nuclear‑grade material standards
- U.S. Citizenship
- Final DoD Confidential Security Clearance or higher
- Successful completion of PNS onboarding and proficiency checks
