Instrumentation Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of instrumentation technicians, ensuring compliance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Outline task objectives, assign resources, and determine project timeframes to meet mission requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on the installation, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate instrumentation requirements, schedules, and work plans with Operations divisions and Aircraft Maintenance Units (AMU).
- Ensure proper calibration and functional checkouts of instrumentation systems before and after flight missions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, personnel assignments, and system status reports.
- Participate in government-directed meetings, including maintenance production meetings, operational briefs, and safety reviews.
- Enforce compliance with OPSEC, security protocols, and flight line safety requirements.
- Support additional duties as required, such as QA augmentation, HAZMAT handling, and airfield driving certifications.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with aircraft instrumentation systems, including supervisory or lead technician experience.
- Strong knowledge of airborne instrumentation systems and associated electronics.
- Ability to interpret technical data, schematics, and blueprints.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining complex instrumentation systems.
- Proven ability to manage teams, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Security Clearance: SECRET clearance required; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-security environment and comply with Air Force flight line safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and occasional weekends based on flight schedules.
