Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and facility condition assessments to identify deficiencies and support project planning.
- Develop, review, or assist in preparing project documents such as scopes of work (SOW), statements of objectives (SOO), cost estimates, design packages, and schedules.
- Coordinate with stakeholders including engineers, architects, planners, contractors, and facility users to ensure project requirements and technical considerations are met.
- Support facility programming by validating requirements, performing economic analyses, and assisting with documentation for funding requests.
- Monitor ongoing construction and renovation projects to ensure work aligns with specifications, schedules, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback on proposed infrastructure improvements and system upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) or in Construction Management from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of recent experience (within the last 10 years) in engineering design, project management, facility planning, or cost estimating for infrastructure or construction projects.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or similar federal government infrastructure programs, with knowledge of applicable regulations and standards.
- Experience developing and reviewing project documentation, including scopes of work, design criteria, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Familiarity with facility programming, budgeting processes, and lifecycle cost analysis.
- Proficient in standard engineering tools for design, drafting, estimating, and project tracking.
