ASR International Corporation has an exciting opportunity for an Analyst – Combat Systems Assessment (CSA) Support position working as part of our team providing technical support for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 275 Submarine Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Systems and Submarine Assessment Support. Scope of Code 275 support to be provided includes Submarine Continuous Operational and Maintenance Assessment (SubCOMA), Post-Deployment Maintainability Assessment (PDMA), Combat Systems Assessment (CSA) and System of Systems Interoperability, Mission Area Assessment (SOSIMAA)/TSRA Assessment, Groton STSC CSA/SOSIMAA Assessment, FTA- Maintenance Support (Ships’ Service Electrical), FTA - Maintenance Support (IC) Electrical, Logistics, and On board TSRA/CSA Logistics.Location/Place of Performance: MARMC – Naval Station Norfolk – Norfolk, VA 23511 (telework opportunities are a possibility)Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of the SOSIMAA and CSA Programs IAW TYCOM’s Total Ship Readiness Program (TSRP) instruction, to include planning, briefs/meetings, regular collaboration with submarine stakeholders (Ship’s Chain of Command, Type Commander [TYCOM], Immediate Superior In-Command [ISICs], MARMC), testing, troubleshooting, analysis, operational checks, corrective measures and reporting.
- Develop, generate, revise and maintain Combat Systems Assessment Plans (CSAP) utilizing the latest configuration data from Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) system or the most recent approved resource for Configuration Data, as well as other available resources for each submarine scheduled for a CSA to include 688 Class, VA class and SSGN class.
- Conduct reviews of major maintenance periods: Engineering Refueling Overhaul, Selected Restricted Availability, and Pre-Inactivation Restricted Availability work packages to ensure CSA/SOSIMAA is called out in availability work packages for RMC performance.
- Collaborate with Ship’s Force, ISIC, and Fleet Maintenance Activities to review, evaluate and provide corrective measures for existing material deficiencies in a submarine’s Current Ship’s Maintenance Plan (CSMP).
- Provide Combat Systems Assessment (CSA) test coordinator support in support of the Code 275 Branch Manager or the assigned CSA test director.
- Coordinate all CSA dockside and at-sea testing. Provide onboard CSA coordinator support for CSA dockside and at-sea testing.
- Evaluate test results and categorize deficiencies. Coordinate with Ship’s Force, ISIC, Fleet Maintenance Activities and Shipyards to identify, report and accurately track through completion all material deficiencies noted during assessments. Conduct follow-up with S/F and applicable maintenance entities to ensure resolution of all issues.
- Generate CSA Dockside and At Sea Completion Messages IAW COMSUBLANT/COMSUBPAC Instruction 9010.5D Total Ship Readiness Program (TSRP).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance and clearing necessary background checks/assessments as required. Active high-level Security Clearance will be required, and current Security Clearance is desired.
- Target Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ full-time engineering experience in operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine mechanical and/or electrical and/or electronic systems/equipment. Experience in evaluation of material condition of ship systems and corrective action implementation. Minimum of 5 years full time technical experience in design, installation, test, and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic and mechanical systems/equipment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of military and civilian personnel.
