ASR International Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Logistician position working as part of our team providing technical support for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 275 Submarine Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Systems and Submarine Assessment Support. Scope of Code 275 support to be provided includes Submarine Continuous Operational and Maintenance Assessment (SubCOMA), Post-Deployment Maintainability Assessment (PDMA), Combat Systems Assessment (CSA) and System of Systems Interoperability, Mission Area Assessment (SOSIMAA)/TSRA Assessment, Groton STSC CSA/SOSIMAA Assessment, FTA- Maintenance Support (Ships’ Service Electrical), FTA - Maintenance Support (IC) Electrical, Logistics, and On board TSRA/CSA Logistics.Location/Place of Performance: MARMC – Naval Station Norfolk – Norfolk, VA 23511 (telework opportunities are a possibility)Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain current Parts Equipment Bin (PEB) to reduce impact to Ships Force and decrease delivery and assessment time. Select HM&E identified parts and procure for use during LANT TSRAs as GFE. These parts are used by the TSRA team to correct frequently occurring as-found material deficiencies and to ensure availability of parts for MRC Pre-Requisites.
- Prior to each TSRA, identify parts required by the MRCs or known ships material deficiencies. Review current inventory for availability of parts and make necessary arrangements (via the TPOC) to provide those parts to the RMC conducting the TSRA.
- Ensure any parts not used during the TSRA are returned/shipped back to the TSRA PEB.
- Serve as central point of contact for all HM&E bins parts request for TSRAs and CSL requests. Upon receipt of requests, review current inventory for availability of parts and make necessary arrangements (via the TPOC) to provide the part to the authorized party. If parts are not available via the PEB, conduct the necessary research to determine where the part is available and provide that information to the POC requesting the part.
- Provide inventory and usage reports for each TSRA conducted along with associated parts costs and savings.
- Update and maintain logistics database files after each TSRA.
- Use MARMC and logistics database systems to ensure all parts expended during the TSRA or at CSL request are reordered and usage of those parts are shown against that Ships UIC. Recommend future parts for purchase based on usage data.
- Fill out all purchase requests associated with the TSRA bin and route documents in accordance with MARMC procedures.
- Support fleet logistic assistance requests and research for Code 270 as required. Requests are typically received via telephone or email and require research of logistics support documents and databases in determining identification of parts and their availability.
- Assist in TSRA logistics support activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance and clearing necessary background checks/assessments as required. Active high-level Security Clearance will be required, and current Security Clearance is desired.
- Target Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience in submarine fleet logistic support including experience in the fleet introduction, installation, test, operation, and life cycle support of combat systems or a computerized and computer-controlled combat system which closely resembles the AN/BSY-1 or AN/BSY-2 in complexity, operation, maintenance approach and installation. Minimum of 4 years’ full time experience in Navy Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support areas.
- Experience shall include each of the following Navy ILSJ of a major forward electronic system or HM&E systems: Maintenance Planning; Manpower, personnel, and training support; Supply support; Test Equipment support; Technical logistic data; Packaging, handling, storage, and transportation; Design and installation; Configuration Management.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of military and civilian personnel.
