Construction Inspector
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections and evaluations of construction activities
- Review contractor quality control procedures and construction submittals
- Identify project deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Analyze Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) and contractor claims
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications for compliance
- Assess completeness and accuracy of work performed
- Evaluate project plans for constructability and design issues
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) with technical recommendations
- Attend weekly project meetings and provide feedback on site conditions
- 5 years of relevant experience as a construction inspector, field technician and/or construction management.
- Woking knowledge of USACE standards and Federal construction regulations
- Strong technical writing and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, among others.
- Physically able to perform site inspections (walking, climbing ladders, entering confined spaces, etc.).
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check.
