About the Opportunity ASR International Corporation, with over 40 years of experience providing engineering, construction management, and technical services to the U.S. Department of Defense, is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector to support the USAF at Hurlburt Field, Florida.
This position is embedded in the Engineering Flight (CEN). The role provides critical field inspection, quality assurance, and compliance oversight for construction projects supporting Special Operations facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems.
Services are performed on-site at Hurlburt Field in support of a Performance Work Statement (PWS) dated 15 June 2026.
Position Summary The CEN Construction Inspector will deliver high-quality, timely inspection and quality support services and deliverables. Work includes construction inspection, review of contractor deliverables, safety coordination, and documentation while meeting strict performance thresholds (documents with only minor errors and revisions completed in ≤2 days).
Key Responsibilities Construction Inspection & Quality Assurance: • Perform construction inspection of DoD or commercial facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems to verify compliance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable regulations. • Review contractor deliverables and submittals; provide technical assessments and recommendations for acceptance or corrective action.
Design Management & Pre-Award / Design & Project Development Support: • Support deliverable review processes for A/E and construction contractors within one week of receipt. • Assist with technical requirements and documentation for construction execution.
Technical & Administrative Support: • Maintain project files, organize documentation, and provide administrative support (e.g., filing meeting minutes). • Deliver monthly status reports and support Quality Control Plan requirements. • Use government ADP systems and maintain data repositories while handling only CUI-level information.
Compliance & Professional Standards: • Ensure all work avoids inherently governmental functions; do not make binding decisions, obligate funds, or sign contracts on behalf of the Government. • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professional appearance while on duty. • Complete required training (Level 1 Anti-Terrorism, Information Assurance certification per DoDM 8140.03) and maintain current CAC and base access. • Coordinate with facility managers and receive safety briefs on hazards present in work areas.
Minimum Qualifications • Experience: Minimum ten (10) years in construction inspection of DoD or commercial facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems. • Education: N/A (no degree requirement). • Citizenship & Access: U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), successfully complete NACI/SF85 background investigation (position of trust for unescorted base access and system access), and complete required Information Assurance certification. No access to classified information; CUI handling only. No foreign nationals permitted. • Strong observational, reporting, and communication skills. • Valid U.S. driver’s license (for on-base operations).
Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience inspecting federal or Air Force construction projects. • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control processes, and construction documentation standards. • Relevant certifications (e.g., ICC, OSHA) a plus.
Work Environment, Schedule & Location Location: On-site at Hurlburt Field, Florida (desk space and government-furnished computer with unclassified network access in Building 90053). No routine travel outside the Hurlburt Field perimeter is expected. Field work on active construction sites is required.
Hours: Core base hours 0730–1630, Monday–Friday. Contractor may adjust hours as needed for timely completion at no additional cost to the Government. No work required on 11 federal holidays. Performance is not mission-essential during crises unless directed in writing.
